It’s with great pleasure that we announce the first Astronomy session part of many du Photography school upcoming initiatives. The plan for this session has been in our minds since the start of the club, but we had it on hold for a while in order to facilitate a key important aspect.
If we talk about the cosmos and astronomy we talk about night sky observations with our naked eyes or using supporting tools such as telescopes. To start the spark, we thought we will seek the support of Mr. Hassan Al Hariri, CEO of Dubai Astronomy Group.
With his plethora of experience in Astronomy we are eager to start a series of sessions that would ignite the flame of curiosity in you.
Hasan Ahmad Al Hariri, CEO of the Dubai Astronomy Group (DAG), founded DAG in the year 2000. Since then, DAG has become an international organization with more than 6000 members. With Mr. Al Hariri playing a key role in developing the group and its products, DAG has launched several products such as stargazing trips, training, workshops, astronomy camps and more.
A well-known speaker and supporter of astronomy in the Middle East, Hasan also co-established the Emirates Astronomy Society and Astronomy League in Abu Dhabi, as well as the Emirates Science Club. Currently under his leadership, Dubai Astronomy Group has established Al Thuraya Astronomy Center in Mushrif Park and they are working very closely with the government on several other public projects. He is known around the region for his lectures and stargazing activities, his participation in local and regional conferences, and his support of astronomy projects.
